PRODUCT CARE GUIDE

RATTAN CARE:

Cleaning our Cane/Rattan furniture is very easy! For general cleaning, use your vacuum’s brush attachment to remove dust on woven panels and in furniture crevices. If further cleaning is required, dampen a microfiber cloth and wipe over the frame to remove any build up of dirt. If solids have dried onto the rattan, use a toothbrush or soft brush to help loosen them, then once clean allow the area to air-dry.

Dry rattan furniture well and take care not to soak the pieces in water. If it does become oversaturated, dry outdoors in the sun if possible. The natural plant material will generally return to its original shape, so take care not to bend it while wet.

Just like fabric and other wood furniture can get moldy, rattan can as well. Even if you live in a warm climate, your rattan furniture can still become exposed to moisture in the air due to humidity. Treat any mildew on rattan immediately. If mildew or mold begins to form, use a strong bleach solution to clean the affected areas. The furniture must then be immediately dried out doors.

Lift rattan furniture when moving it. To avoid splitting the fibres, don’t drag your rattan furniture around.

Our pieces come with a nylon glide on each foot, however with use over time these can wear down and expose the rattan legs to moisture on the ground. If you need replacement floor glides, please contact us directly.

Keep furniture away from areas of severe heat as this can warp or dry out the furniture.

FABRIC CARE:

When washing any of our fabrics, use a gentle spin cycle with lukewarm or cold water and a mild, liquid detergent.

Wash covers right way out and zip them closed before adding to the machine to avoid damage during the spin cycle. Make sure the covers are rinsed thoroughly to remove any traces of detergent which can cause age spots.

Dry covers flat in sunlight. Like all fabrics, regular maintenance is strongly recommended.

Do not dry clean.
